Installation and use requirements of mechanical seals

1、机械密封对机器精度的要求(以泵用机械密封为例)

(1)安装机械密封部位的轴(或轴套)的径向跳动公差最大不超过0.04～0.06MM。

(2)转子轴向窜动不超过0.3MM。

安装方法随机械密封型式、机器的种类不同而有所不同，但其安装要领几乎都相同，安装步骤和注意事项如下：

Installation methods vary according to the type of mechanical seal and the type of machine, but the installation essentials are almost the same. The installation steps and precautions are as follows:

(1)安装尺寸的确定

(1) determination of installation dimensions

安装时，应按产品的使用说明书或样本，保证机械密封的安装尺寸。

When installing, the installation dimensions of mechanical seals shall be guaranteed according to the instructions or samples of the products.

(2)装入前，轴(轴套)、压盖应无毛刺，轴承状况良好;密封件、轴、密封腔、压盖都应该清洗干净。为减少摩擦阻力，轴上安装机械密封的部位要薄薄地涂上一层油，以进行润滑，考虑到橡胶O形圈的相溶性，若不宜用油，可涂肥皂水。浮装式静环不带防转销的结构，不宜涂油，应干式装入压盖。泡沫泵

(2) Before loading, the shaft (sleeve) and the cover should be burr-free and the bearing in good condition; the seal, shaft, seal cavity and cover should be cleaned. In order to reduce friction resistance, a thin layer of oil should be applied to the parts of the mechanical seal installed on the shaft for lubrication. Considering the compatibility of rubber O-rings, soap water can be applied if oil is not suitable. The structure of floating type static ring without anti rotation pin should not be oiled. (3)先将静环与压盖一起装在轴上，注意不要与轴相碰，然后将动环组件装入。弹簧座或传动座的紧定螺钉应分几次均匀拧紧。

(3) Firstly, the static ring and the cover are mounted on the shaft together. Be careful not to collide with the shaft, and then the moving ring assembly is loaded. The tightening screws of the spring seat or the transmission base should be evenly screwed up several times.

在未固定压盖之前，用手推补偿环作轴向压缩，松开后补偿环能自动弹回无卡滞现象，然后将压盖螺拴均匀地锁紧。

Before fixing the cap, the compensating ring is pushed by hand for axial compression. After loosening, the compensating ring can automatically rebound without sticking, and then the cap bolt is evenly locked.
